I’m an enneagram coach that believes the enneagram is more than just a personality test. 

I won’t tell you a morning routine is the answer to all your problems, and I don’t believe making a permanent change in your life needs to be complicated. I’m here to show you the enneagram is the missing piece to help you take control of your life- and it’s way easier than you think.

I spent most of my life fighting with myself.

I wasn’t even aware that I was getting in the way of my own happiness. 

It’s no wonder I would spin out at every unexpected bill, argument, or minor setback.  I wasn’t really living, I was jumping from one stressful situation to the next. IT SUCKED.

I thought I could use willpower to change everything. If I just dieted enough I might be comfortable in my own skin. If I just saved enough money I might be able to finally relax. If I just explained myself enough I might have stronger relationships. If I could just hold out a little longer I could make all my problems go away. They didn’t. 

 

It went like this for YEARS! 

I thought the enneagram, and all inner-work, was pointless. Why waste time doing inner-work when what I needed was actual change? 

Then I heard this fact… 80 percent (or more) of our behavior comes from our subconscious. Our subconscious is controlled by our past, mostly stuff that happened before we were 8 years old. 

8-year-old Angie was always afraid of not having enough resources (hello type 5), was scared of being misunderstood, and was uncomfortable in her own skin. It all began to make sense. I had to heal those wounds so I could stop hating myself and take control of my life. 

I started to seek out ways to heal my 8-year-old self…

🗣 I tried talk therapy…it made me feel worse 

🖼 I made vision boards… they never came true

🧘🏻‍♀️ I tried to meditate… I could never focus

No matter what I did to manage my stress I was still picking fights with my loved ones, crying in the shower, and stressing out all day long. 

I discovered the enneagram, learned I was a type 5, and realized I needed a step-by-step process that was personalized for me. 

Talk therapy wasn’t for me, but EMDR therapy was. Vision boards never landed, but neural manifestation did. Mantra meditation was so boring, but I love body scans meditation. 

What worked for me might not work for you, we are all different. But the Enneagram is the first step to figuring out what will work for you. 

The Enneagram is a process. I’m still growing, healing, and learning. But, the transformation was A LOT quicker than I thought it would be.

I soon was out of debt, had a healthy connection with my body, could set boundaries, and felt deep closeness in my relationships. The best part of my healing journey - I finally stopped fighting myself. I learned a way of coping that was affirming and healthy. Now when things get difficult I don’t spin out. I know that my work with the enneagram has prepared me to solve problems and get back to living my authentic life.
